History

The D'Esopo Family founded the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel in 1905, and began a tradition of community service which has extended over a century.   In 1995, to celebrate their 90th year, the D'Esopo-Pratt Resource Center was founded to offer a safe place for the bereaved, their families, friends and caregivers to learn about the grieving process in a supportive environment.  In 2003, the Safe Place to Grieve Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization, was established with the vision of expanding our services and making those services available to the general public through rants and charitable donations.  The D'Esopo -Pratt Resource Center provides the Safe Place to Grieve Foundation with shared use of office and other space to conduct its programs and services.
